Brignone in La Thuile to talk World Cup
La Thuile begins the march towards the Women's Alpine Skiing World Cup stage, scheduled for Friday 14 and Saturday 15 March 2025. The promotion tour is ready to start, while the planning work continues. On Sunday, 18 August, at 8.15 p.m. in the Arly hall in La Thuile, a presentation open to the public is scheduled.Residents and tourists of the resort will be able to discover the first news, the work effected so far, and the next steps of the organising committee.
Also on stage will be Federica Brignone, the most successful Italian in the World Cup, who boasts 27 successes. She will talk about the summer months of preparation and the excitement of being able to race once again in front of her home crowd. The president of the Region Renzo Testolin, the mayor of La Thuile Mathieu Ferraris, the president of the organising committee Marco Mosso and the race director Daniele Collomb will also speak. The World Cup presentation will anticipate the meeting with Anna Torretta, an alpine guide who has just returned from the K2 expedition. The mountaineer will talk about her all-female adventure on the peaks of Pakistan, shared with Federica Mingolla, Silvia Loreggian and Cristina Piolini.
